Acer Aspire One
The Aspire One runs the 1.6Ghz Atom processor which gives it decent performance and great battery life. It’s expected to get three hours on the 3-cell battery and more than six on the optional six-cell. Acer’s netbook also has an 8.9″ screen running at 1024×600. The Aspire One comes installed with either Linux or XP, 802.11 b/g wifi, and 512MB or 1GB of RAM. For storage, you can get an 8GB SSD (solid state drive) or an 80GB HD, along with a multi-cardreader that supports SD, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MMC and XD cards. Initially only blue and white colors will be available, but the line will expand to the following in the future: golden brown, coral pink, sapphire blue and seashell white. Checking in at just over two pounds the Aspire one is 9.8-inches X 6.7-inches X 1.14-inches. Pricing should start at $379.
